Cantantes Domino

This society is dedicated to the promotion of liturgical music. It is based at the church of St Stephen on the Cliffs, which continues in its long tradition of musical liturgical celebration.

Support for the society comes from its members who pay an annual subscription, and are not necessarily in the parish or on the electoral role. The funds are vested in the Parochial Church Council of St Stephen on the Cliffs as restricted funds.

The constitution of the society is sent to all subscribers together with a bi-annual magazine, and officers of the society are elected by the general meeting following the Annual Service of Thanksgiving in June.

Cantantes Domino promotes liturgical music by underwriting the costs of assembling singers and musicians for special services and by the acquisition of liturgical sheet music both new and old. Thus supporting the wider publication of church music.
