Well things have changed and are changing so rapidly aren’t they*. Only a few hours after I posted my last letter to you the ‘Lockdown’ was announced and our churches closed completely, except for the Priest to enter alone and to pray and offer Mass alone, on behalf of the whole community. This I have done regularly each day.
Holy Week and Easter will certainly be very different than anything I have ever experienced. To be absent from the worshipping comm...

Holy Week is most definitely a very sacred time of the year, for that is when we will commemorate and remember the last week of Jesus' life on this earth.

These are the days leading up to the great Easter Feast. The Lenten season of sacrifice and self-denial is about to come to an end, but this Holy Week is extremely important for all Christians.

Thinking it must be a mistake, he rang straight back. “Oh is it?” He was asked, “Oh well we are open just the same, all the shops are.”

Surely it wasn’t so long ago that Good Friday was a day everyone was off work? Not any...

Dear Friends in Christ,

By the time you read this, we shall be celebrating Easter. This year, Easter is almost the earliest it can be. Indeed it seems we have only just finished Christmas let alone lent! Never mind Holy Week!!

During Lent and Passiontide many of us are familiar with the Stations of the Cross. On this journey we follow Jesus on the Way of the Cross. Indeed, the Stations are permanently sited around the S. Stephen’s as in so many churches. Th...
