St Stephen on the Cliffs has a well established choral tradition.
Under the direction of Philip Berry, our organist and director of music, the choir’s aim is to lead the musical worship in church through the good quality singing of mass and office settings, anthems and hymns.
New adult members (over 16), are always welcome. We welcome anyone who has a love of singing and especially enjoys singing in four-part harmony or would like to learn.
Some experience of singing soprano, alto, tenor or bass would be useful but the main requirements are an ability to sing in tune and a sense of commitment to a team that plays a key role in the worship at St Stephens.
The choir has a close association with Cantantes Domino, a larger choral group, and many opportunities exist to take part in performances and singing various services.
If you would like to find out more please give Philip Berry a call on 01253 969764 or 07778 735988.

Cantantes Domino is a society dedicated to the promotion of liturgical music and is based here at St Stephen on the Cliffs.
Support for the society comes from its members who pay an annual subscription, and are not necessarily in the parish or on the electoral role.
The constitution of the society is sent to all subscribers together with a bi-annual magazine, and officers of the society are elected by the general meeting following the annual service of thanksgiving in June.
Cantantes Domino promotes liturgical music by underwriting the costs of assembling singers and musicians for special services and by the acquisition of liturgical sheet music both new and old. Thus supporting the wider publication of church music.
